Crosthwaite Camp 2026

Anyone else already looking forward to Convention 2026? We are looking forward to seeing you all on camp in 2026!

Preparations for camping on the Crosthwaite fields are underway. Each year we endeavour to make the campsite work even smoother than the previous year. Therefore, please take note of these important notices for Camp 2026.

  • For safety reasons The Keswick Convention will be working with a maximum limit of 5000 people on the Pencil Factory site.
  • There will be 500 camper spaces each week.
  • We expect Week 2 to be very busy! We would ask you to consider whether you could come to Week 1 or Week 3 instead.
  • You will be able to choose to book your usual 10m x 10m pitch OR new this year a half pitch for those who need less space. Please remember that your car, tent (including guy ropes) and all other equipment must fit within the 10m x 10m pitch.
  • One car will be included in the booking fee. Anyone who requires a second car must book this for a fee of £55. We would ask you to consider if you can help us reduce the number of cars coming to the campsite.
  • Keswick Ministries will be opening booking for the Kids and Youth groups at 10am on 21st February 2026.  Set up your phone calendar reminders or get that friend who is always on the ball to remind you!  we strongly advise you to book this when it opens and then book your campsite space when bookings open in March.
  • Camp booking will open on 4th March 2026.

Volunteers

Crosthwaite Campsite is just two farmers’ fields and a school cricket pitch for the other 49 weeks of the year. We rely entirely on the work of volunteers to run this pop-up campsite during the three weeks of the convention. We and Keswick Ministries believe this is crucial to provide a more affordable option. Please consider volunteering with us in one of the following roles –

Set-Up Team – magically turning fields to functioning camping facilities or supporting the catering of meals for the team while they do this important work. People with knowledge and skills of plumbing and electrics as well as people to help with general tasks. Needed evening of Tuesday 14th – Saturday 18th July 2026

Weekly Teams

To maintain and support the smooth running of camp including arrivals and departures of each week’s campers. Pitches available from the Friday evening (where practical).

Week 1 – Team Members – Saturday 18th July 11am – Saturday 25th July 11am.

Week 2 – Team Members – Saturday 25th July 11am – Saturday 31st July 11am.

Week 3 Team Members – Saturday 1st August 11am – Saturday 8th August 11am.

Set Down Team – restores calm and order to all the materials and fields. People with knowledge and skills of plumbing and electrics as well as people to help with general tasks. Needed Saturday 8th August 2026

If you would like to discuss any of these roles please email volunteer-coordinator@crosthwaitecamp.org.uk or use this link to apply. To align ourselves with the volunteer recruitment practices of the Keswick Convention, all volunteers will apply, and a character reference sought. Whether you are a seasoned Crosthwaite volunteer or a newby, please apply using this link – https://forms.gle/Y1iRejSf566RBZxP7.

Yours in Christ,
