Crosthwaite campsite is in a wonderful location nestling against a backdrop of Lakeland peaks. It is a family and youth orientated campsite run by volunteers, using farmers’ fields to accommodate campers and caravanners for the three weeks of the Keswick Convention.
Our aim is to provide a safe, economical camping and caravanning site for those attending the Convention.
The campsite is located a fifteen minute walk from the main convention site at Rawnsley, where the children and youth work are also located.
The tea and coffee as we set up was so much appreciated. We also loved meeting and chatting with our neighbours and feel we have made new friends.
Most people camp, about 20% bring caravans and there is limited space for motorhomes.
The campsite operates on a self catering basis.
Portable toilets with basic washing facilities are provided on site. We provide fully equiped modern individual showers.
We really appreciate all you do to develop a sense of fellowship and community on the site – there is something very special about Crosthwaite!
There are no dishwashing or laundry facilities on site. No electrical hook-ups are provided. Your dog must not be left unattended in your unit and must be kept on a lead at all times.
Join us for a blend of fellowship, fun, a weekly picnic together. Enjoy a walk up a nearby fell or perhaps a coffee in one of the many coffee shops in and around Keswick.
Don’t forget you can keep up to date on our Facebook page.
