After 6 years Nick and Ann as Chairman and Chairlady, have decided to retired from these roles.
As a camp we should extend our heartfelt thanks to both Nick and Ann for all what they have done for the ongoing success of the camp.
This has been far from easy, there have been difficult challenges, and their sacrifice is appreciated.
Please feel free to say thank you to Nick and Ann and wish them well in their retirement.
As a result of this we are looking to overhaul a number of the roles undertaken by Team members and would like you to prayerfully consider the if you have the skills to undertake any of the following roles.
Camp Secretary/ General Admin role.
To work along side the camp planning team in corresponding with suppliers, Keswick Ministries (KM), Keswick school school, external agencies, farmers and any other party that needs to be corresponded with. Guidance and support will be provided for this role.
This role is an ongoing role throughout the year and kicks off quickly in September / October following camp to Book Toilets, showers and the like. Work load varies and some parts of the year is very quite. There is a busy period prior to the 2025 camp liaising with KM. Other emails may need to generated to campers from the Booking system as dictated by operational needs.
Site planner
This role is planning the campers pitching layout. This needs to be implement prior to Checkin being issued. Typically this requires liaison with the Booking secretary as to booking decisions that have been made. The Site planner will need to utilise the Camp booking system to allocate pitches. This is a very much like playing 3 dimensional Chess. It is not easy, and at times there is no perfect answer. Peak workload is in late May and early June, with some ongoing Activities in the final day days prior to camp.
Ideally this person would attend Camp setup, but this is not obligatory as all of the data is held in the booking system.
Camp Pray Coordinator
To work alongside the Media secretary and the Camp Co-ordinator (Previously called the “Chairman”) to help implement a Prayerful and Christian Focus to camp. This roll will involve attending the new online Quarterly Pray meetings, assisting in sending out a bi-month Pray Letter for camp, and working with “Mick the Bear” to help publicise the devotions and Prayer meetings via Facebook.
This will be a periodic task through the year, but is not full time. It is assumed that the individual will attend at least 1 week at camp.
All of the above roles will have a dedicated email account.
A new Camp planning team will be formed for the execution of camps for 2025 and beyond.
Thank you for Considering the above roles. If you wish to discuss these further, or any other matter, please find Tim Mote on Pitch 110 on Field 3 during camp, Or email tim on Secretary@crosthwaitecamp.org.uk
Blessings to all,
Timothy Mote
