Campsite Newsletter and Prayer Points – February 2025

Bookings coming soon…

The countdown has begun! Bookings are opening on February 26th.  An email with details will be sent on the 25th so please keep your eye on your email (remember to check your junk mail) or the website for details.

As we look forward to the 150th anniversary of The Keswick Convention the plans for this years camp are well underway. This year, Keswick Convention are expecting larger numbers and therefore Crosthwaite Campsite have made provision for an overflow campsite to accommodate larger numbers. Please be aware that the overflow campsite does have some restrictions like only off field parking and limited facilities on the field. You may also have a little further to walk to access the main camp facilities.

If you are a group booking but have not previously booked with us before, please contact bookings@crosthwaitecamp.org.uk so that we can help you with your booking.

Early Bird Youth Booking

Last year, Keswick Ministries very kindly offered an early bird booking option for campers. As yet, this has not been agreed and talks are still ongoing around this area. Keswick Ministries are making great efforts to increase the capacity for the youth work this year however booking for youth work may not run the same as last year for campers.

Your campsite needs you!

Crosthwaite campsite has always been run by volunteers and although there are a team who serve in the planning and logistics of the campsite there is a need for those who are able to serve on the practical side of the camp. We are still looking for volunteers to help with set up/set down and weekly team members. With such a wide range of jobs on camp there is truly something for everyone. So if you are able to offer any part of your time with us to volunteering please contact secretary@crosthwaitecamp.org.uk for more information.

Prayer Points

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Philippians 4:6

  • Mike Graham, a camp stalwart for many years, has asked for prayer as he has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Please pray for Mike, Alison and the family at this time that they will know God’s presence with them and that they have a peace in knowledge and security of our hope of life eternal when we are in Christ.
  • Pray for our infrastructure team Paul Wells and David Powe as they look to design and implement additional and new campsite infrastructure to cope with increased capacity.
  • Pray for David and Margaret Powe who suffered significant damage to their caravan during Storm Eowyn. Pray the Lord will provide a way forward for them as they deal with the practicalities of finding a suitable outcome to their situation.
  • Please pray for all those in the camp planning team as they deal with bookings and logistics many taking on new roles and responsibilities this year.
  • As already mentioned, we still need volunteers to help run the campsite. Please prayerfully consider how you might be able to help.
  • The campsite planning team have been made aware of an area of land that has come up for sale at the bottom of field 1. Please pray that God would be in the midst and give wisdom in the decision-making process about whether or not this land should be purchased for the campsite through the provision of the funds to do so.
